Mahak Jat with Parents Mr Praveen and Asha

Mehak Jat, daughter of Mr. Praveen Jat, a police officer working in Special Branch Indore and Mrs. Asha Jat, a social worker, has brought laurels to the family by securing All India 197th rank in the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2025 exam.

Mr. and Mrs. Jat have been encouraging and helping their daughter for this exam for years and Mehak also prepared for the exam with complete dedication, as a result of which she secured AIR 197 in this exam. Talking to Vigyan Sutra, Mehak said that she kept full focus on her studies and never asked for a smartphone and focused all her attention only on getting maximum marks in her subjects, along with this, her parents also always encouraged her and worked hard with her day and night to educate her.

Mehak has secured fifth position in Madhya Pradesh in this exam and she hopes that she will get a chance to study further in her choice of college.

Our children are the future of the country. While on one hand the government is talking of making the country a seven trillion dollar economy, our expenditure on education in comparison to GDP is less than even countries like Greece, Chile and Mexico. On the other hand parents are forced to spend lakhs of rupees on children’s education, coaching etc., the government system is turning a blind eye to the collection of lakhs and crores of rupees as fees in the name of education in colleges and universities. Today economically weak and middle class families are forced to pay lakhs of rupees as fees to send their children to serve the nation while government is turning a blind eye. how will we be able to make the country a developed nation in this way? Those who run the country will have to spend appropriately on education for talented students like Mehak and for the future of our country, so that citizens of all classes can provide higher education to their children without worrying about money. -(For Vigyan Sutra – Reporter: Mahesh)
